Actor Humayun Faridi, who plays film and drama, today weeps and leaves the world. Today, it’s been eight years since he left. On 13february 2012, he was a powerful actor. The legend is not dead, only the physical end. Work saves them in the minds of thousands of people, they live in love. Many in the arts and literature community on social media remember him in a wee while he was on the day of the actor’s death. Thursday (February 13) is his eighth anniversary. Eight years after he left, he is still shining in the spirit of the people and devotees of the art-culture sector.
Humayun Faridi was born in Narinda, Dhaka, on 29 May 1952. His father’s name is ATM Nurul Islam, his mother’s name is Begum Farida Islam. Faridi was the second of four brothers and sisters. In 1970 he passed his high school examination at the Chandpur Government College. In the same year, he was admitted to the Organic Chemistry of Dhaka University to graduate. The following year, in 1971, he participated in the great liberation war.
After independence, Humayun Faridi started his undergraduate career in the economics department of Jahangirnagar University instead of Dhaka University. That’s where his acting talent developed. He took a break from the drama to Salim Al Deen. He was a member of Dhaka Theatre while he was at Jahangirnagar University. The colours of his acting were spread from this drama group. He was the theatre secretary of the university’s student parliament.
He was cast in the role of the director of the play ‘Skuntala’ by Salim Al-Dharma. In 1982, he starred in the drama ‘Looking for Blue Designs’. It was his first television drama.
He then acted in ‘Listen to the Sound of The Bang’, ‘Sanstha’, ‘Two Brothers’, ‘Bird of Winter’ and ‘Nowhere’, ‘Seven Heavens’, ‘One Sudden’, ‘Ayatra’, ‘Path Time’, ‘Two Brothers’, ‘Shert’, ‘She’s One’, ‘Moon-ding’, ‘Man of the Moon’, ‘Moonman’, ‘Moon’, ‘Moon’, ‘Chain’, ‘Shit’ Like a viewer-friendly drama.
Faridi produced himself by starring in the stage plays like ‘Skuntala’, ‘Muntasi’, ‘Kantasi’, ‘Kirtankhola’, ‘Keramat Mars’. He served as the chittagong divisional head of the village theatre as a member of Bangladesh Village Theatre.
He made a mark by playing in the 1982 Bangladesh television drama ‘Blue Design Evening’ and ‘See with the Telescope’. In the series drama ‘Sansthaq’, Kankata took herself to a unique height by playing the role of Ramadan.
The film ‘Hulia’ by Tanveer Mokmmel was made on the big screen of Humayun Faridi. In the nineties, he acted in the films of commercial film director Shahidul Islam Khan, “Terror”, “Dinjumra”, “Birman” and “Laku”. He was later cast as khal-e-Nakkar in the desifilm.
Shahidul Islam Khan has made 25 of 28 films including ‘World Lover’, ‘Aabad’, ‘Daabad’. In addition, Humayun Faridi has acted in numerous films like ‘Dahn’, ‘Aktar’, ‘Taqatar Jesus’, ‘Daeeth’, ‘Bachler’, ‘Jayayatra’, ‘Shamal Shadow’, ‘Mother’s Right’, ‘Right To Want’, ‘Mother’, ‘Mother’, ‘Mother’, ‘Mother’ and ‘Aha’.
